Privacy Policy
How Aetheis collects, uses and protects your personal data, under the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017 and, where it applies, the GDPR. Last updated July 2026.
01
Who we are
Aetheis is the group founded by Marc Israel, based in Mauritius. For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 2017, Aetheis is the data controller for this website. You can reach us about privacy at contact@aetheis.com.
02
What we collect
Contact form. When you write to us we collect the name, email, company and message you provide, so we can reply and route you to the right person.
Resource & keynote downloads. When you request a resource such as the keynote deck or the Absorption Gap Diagnostic, we collect your name and email through our download form so we can send it to you and, where you opt in, related updates.
Newsletter. If you subscribe to Edge of Innovation we collect your email address, on the basis of your consent.
Analytics. By default we use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and aggregates page views, approximate country and device type without identifying you. With your consent we also use PostHog (hosted in the EU) to record how the site is used, which helps us improve it.
03
Why we use it, and our legal basis
We use your data to respond to your enquiry (at your request), to deliver resources you ask for such as the keynote and diagnostic (your request and consent), to send the newsletter you asked for (consent), and to understand and improve the site (legitimate interest for cookieless analytics; consent for PostHog). We do not sell your data and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
04
Cookies and similar technologies
We store your theme choice and your consent decision in your browser (local storage), which is essential and needs no consent. PostHog sets analytics cookies, and loads only after you accept in the consent banner. You can change your mind at any time by clearing site data or contacting us.
05
Who we share it with
We use trusted processors to run the site, each acting on our instructions under written data-processing terms: Vercel (hosting and cookieless analytics), PostHog (product analytics, EU), Zoho (download-form capture and CRM for keynote and resource requests), and, where relevant, Sanity (content), RSS.app (content sync), Calendly and bookings.aetheis.com (scheduling). We share your data with no one else unless the law requires it.
06
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry, download and newsletter data only as long as needed for the purpose you gave it, and then delete it. Analytics data is retained in aggregate. Ask us and we will tell you exactly what we hold.
07
Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act 2017 you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, and withdraw consent at any time. Email contact@aetheis.com and we will respond within the statutory time. You can also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Office of Mauritius.
08
International transfers & changes
Some processors, including Zoho, are outside Mauritius; where they are, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
